ENCOURAGING YOUNG SCIENTISTS TO CARRY OUT HIGH QUALITY RESEARCH: ESCEO-AMGEN FELLOWSHIP AWARDS

The European Society for Clinical and Economical Aspect of Osteoarthritis and Osteoporosis (ESCEO) has been pleased to provide the opportunity of supporting Fellowship Awards, courtesy of a grant from Amgen. The recipients received their ESCEO-Amgen Fellowship Awards on Thursday March 29, during the first plenary session of the day. These grants aim specifically at encouraging young scientists to carry out high quality research in the field of patient-oriented clinical investigation.
THE FELLOWSHIP AWARDS WERE PRESENTED TO:
- Steeve Kwan Tat for his project of study on receptor activator of nuclear factor kB ligand (RANKL) system involved in both osteoporosis and osteoarthritis;
- Pavel Szulc for his epidemiological planned study of the relationship between osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease in elderly men;
- An Bogaert for her work project on the effects of high-dose of vitamin D and mechanical loading on bone quality, muscle function, physical performance and falls in frail elderly women;
